Make the most out of your free 30-day trial of MoneyMinder. We’ll show you how to get set up and running quickly so you can see how easy it is to manage your group’s finances using MoneyMinder.
Signing up is easy; we don’t even require a credit card. At the end of your trial, you can decide whether to subscribe or not.
Your email address will be your username for logging into MoneyMinder! Whether you use a personal email or one connected to your group, the decision is entirely yours.
Enter your group’s EIN to ensure that your financial year and organization information are set correctly in MoneyMinder and align with the IRS.
Now it’s time to give MoneyMinder a try.
You’ll want to set up two things right away: your Bank Accounts and your Budget. Like the rest of MoneyMinder, we’ve designed these to be very easy.
Let’s start with the Bank Accounts.
Click Banking in the sidebar.
Click Add Account, and choose Bank Register (Manual Entry).
Name your new account and add the starting balance from the beginning of your financial year. Be sure to take that information directly from your bank statement.
You can also choose to connect your bank account directly to MoneyMinder using Bank Integration, which is included in your trial and subscription. This allows you to import transactions rather than entering them manually.
Next, let’s set up the Budget.
Click Budget in the sidebar.
Feel free to choose one of our handy budget templates for a quick and easy way to get started! This will give you a helpful starting point, and you can personalize it by adding, editing, or removing Headings and Categories as needed.
Creating a fresh budget from scratch is a great option too.

Once you have created your bank register(s) and budget, you can complete your initial setup by entering some transactions.
Don’t miss our Help Center—it has a lot of really useful content for making the most of MoneyMinder! The Free Trial Quickstart Guide has tips for entering transactions and contacts, attaching receipts, and using reports.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions. We are available via chat and email [email protected] Monday through Friday. We look forward to working with you.
