Using MoneyMinder

  • Account Integration is a great timesaving feature for recording transactions faster and more accurately. It makes reconciling your account much easier. But don’t worry, you’ll still have oversight into each transaction that gets imported. 

    Use this bank search to see if your bank is one of the 12,000 banks we support. PayPal, Square, Stripe and Venmo Personal Edition can also be integrated. You may link as many supported accounts as you would like with this included feature.

Support & Troubleshooting

  • First of all, there is no reason to stress. When you’re with MoneyMinder, you’re in good hands. We are a stress-free zone! 

    If you get stuck, we have a number of ways to help. First off, thousands of groups use MoneyMinder, so we have heard a lot of the same questions over the years. Our knowledgebase has a wealth of information, and chances are, your question has already been asked and answered!

  • After your 30 day trial, MoneyMinder is billed annually. You can cancel your subscription at any time, but we do not offer refunds on the annual subscription fee.

  • To ensure the best experience while using MoneyMinder, we recommend using one of the following browsers and their respective versions:

    1. Google Chrome: Version 95 or greater
    2. Mozilla Firefox: Version 91 or greater
    3. Apple Safari: Version 16.6 or greater
    4. Microsoft Edge: Version 18 or greater

About MoneyMinder

  • Yes. You can track money coming in (income) and money going out (expenses) by category—including dues, donations, fundraisers and more. You define your own custom budget categories.

  • Yes! You can add as many users as you need with different permission levels—great for treasurers, presidents, secretaries, and committee chairs who need visibility into your group’s finances.

  • Not at all. MoneyMinder was designed for real people, not accountants. Most of our customers are busy folks with other responsibilities—like kids, a job, or both! If you can manage a spreadsheet, you can manage MoneyMinder. We’re here with guidance and support when you need it.

  • No. We do not require any form of payment to start your trial. If you want to continue using MoneyMinder after 30 days, we offer a few payment options:

    To pay electronically, log into your account and click on Settings to find and pay your invoice via:

    • Credit Card / Debit Card
    • Direct Debit Authorization

    To pay by check, please make your check payable to MoneyMinder for the Amount Due shown on your invoice and mail it to us.

  • MoneyMinder is built specifically for nonprofits and volunteer-led groups. Unlike traditional accounting software, it’s simple to use, doesn’t require a finance background, and focuses on the tools treasurers actually need—like tracking budgets, donations, dues, and volunteers. 

  • Very secure. Data accuracy and security is one of our top priorities. Your data is stored securely and backed up nightly. We take data protection seriously so you can have peace of mind.

  • We work hard to keep the price of MoneyMinder as low as possible. In order to get all of the great features you see on this page, you’ll have to pay for a MoneyMinder subscription.

    After your free trial, if you decide MoneyMinder is not right for you, or if you need more time, your account will be downgraded to MoneyMinder FREE.

    MoneyMinder FREE gives you access to our budgeting tool, which is a great resource for planning your activities for a year or a particular period. Set up a custom chart of accounts, create goals for each and forecast how different changes will impact you, in order to make informed financial decisions. MoneyMinder Store is not included in the FREE edition.

    In order to input transactions such as a bank register, you’ll need to sign up for a MoneyMinder subscription.

  • Nope! MoneyMinder works well with tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofits, but we have plenty of group types that do not hold that status. MoneyMinder is great for groups of all kinds:

  • Almost all MoneyMinder accounts start with a free trial. No credit card is needed to start your trial. To get started with your 30-day trial, you’ll need to have this information handy:

    1. Email Address (this will become your login name)
    2. Name and Position
    3. Organization Name and Type
    4. Phone Number
    5. Address
    6. Financial Year Start Date
    7. EIN if you have one (helpful, but not necessary)

  • With a 30-day trial, you get access to all of the features of MoneyMinder including the ability to integrate your bank and payment accounts to save time entering transactions.

    However, the MoneyMinder Online Store, Tax Forms and Multi-Chapter Reporting are only available with paid accounts.
