Collections Come In. Books Stay Clean. Three Dates to See the Power Couple in Action.

Collecting payments and reconciling your books shouldn’t be two separate headaches. This summer, we’re teaming up with our partners at Cheddar Up for three live sessions that show exactly how the two tools work together — from the moment a parent hits “pay” to the moment it lands in your books.
We call the series The Power Couple. MoneyMinder handles the bookkeeping, Cheddar Up handles the collections, and together they mean less time chasing down who paid for what.
What we’ll cover
Each session is a guided walkthrough followed by open Q&A. In less than an hour, you’ll see:
- Key features of Cheddar Up — online payments, forms, and sign-ups built for volunteer groups
- Key features of MoneyMinder — bookkeeping designed for volunteer treasurers
- Why the two tools are better together
- A live walk-through: creating your first Cheddar Up Store
- Connecting your Store to MoneyMinder so transactions flow in automatically
Bring your questions. We’ll leave time at the end for whatever’s on your mind.
Why it’s worth joining

Frequently Asked Questions
MoneyMinder Store is our branded version of Cheddar Up’s Team Edition. Cheddar Up is our longtime partner — the leading payment collection platform for volunteer groups — and every paid MoneyMinder subscription includes their Team Edition (a $48/month value) at no extra cost. You get Cheddar Up’s full Team-level feature set plus a direct connection to your MoneyMinder books. More on the Store →
No. The Store works for any volunteer-run group — PTAs, booster clubs, HOAs, scout troops, sports teams, service clubs, church groups, and small nonprofits. If you’re collecting dues, donations, event fees, or spirit-wear payments, it fits.
Donations, membership dues, team fees, event tickets, spirit wear, custom items, food sales, and more. You can build a page in minutes using Cheddar Up’s template library, share it by link or social, and start collecting.
No. Anyone with internet access can pay by credit card, debit card, or eCheck — no app, no account, no login. That’s one of the biggest reasons groups pick Cheddar Up over Venmo, Zelle, or CashApp, which all require the payer to have the app installed.
Cheddar Up’s Team Edition — normally $48/month — is what unlocks their lowest processing fees, and it’s included FREE with a paid MoneyMinder subscription. That gets you 3.99% (3.59% processing and 0.4% platform fee) + $0.59 per credit card transaction, or 0.4% + $0.95 per eCheck (usually the cheapest option for larger payments). Fees can be passed to the payer or absorbed by your group, except for the 0.4% MoneyMinder platform fee, which is always covered by your organization.
Payments collected through your MoneyMinder Store flow into your MoneyMinder books as they come in. If the category names in your Store match your budget categories in MoneyMinder, transactions are categorized automatically. If not, you can categorize them manually — either way, no duplicate data entry and no CSV exports.
Payment tools are great at collecting money — that’s what they’re built for. But collecting is only part of a treasurer’s job. You also need to track expenses paid by check or cash, categorize transactions against a budget, generate reports for your board, and stay on top of compliance requirements like Form 990-N. Payment platforms show what came in through their system; a financial management tool like MoneyMinder shows the complete picture. More on the difference between the two →
Peer-to-peer apps like Venmo, Zelle, and CashApp are easy for individuals but tricky for groups — payers need the app, tracking is manual, and there’s no built-in reporting for a treasurer. Stripe and PayPal work well for basic online payments but give you a payment button, not a customizable page — no built-in sign-ups, waivers, inventory tracking, or ticketing.
With Cheddar Up you get a fully customizable payment collection page (your MoneyMinder Store), built for volunteer groups — and paired with MoneyMinder, it handles the bookkeeping side too. For a full side-by-side, see our nonprofit payment platform comparison.
Yes, on all three fronts. Cheddar Up is PCI-compliant, and funds withdraw directly to your organization’s bank account. MoneyMinder uses SSL encryption and role-based permissions, so only the people you invite can see your books. And the connection between the two runs as a direct, encrypted integration — no spreadsheets emailed around, no exported files sitting on someone’s laptop.
Yes — that’s built in. Both MoneyMinder and Cheddar Up are designed for volunteer turnover, with clean handoff of accounts, permissions, and history.
