Booster Clubs & PTAs Can Raise Money with These School Rewards Programs

As parents, we want the best for our students and if that means an extra piece of playground equipment, a field trip to the zoo or another useful school supply it might be difficult to find sufficient funds through your school. To help you out we have rounded up a few of the best rewards school programs for your school. These programs can mean big dollars for your students and oftentimes, they don’t take up a lot of extra time or effort.

BoxTops for Education

BoxTops for Education might be the most prolific school reward program. You have probably seen a “BoxTop” on top of a box of macaroni and cheese or cereal. “BoxTops” started in 1996 by General Mills and has grown to include not only favorite food items but many other household items like Ziploc bags and Kleenex. Since inception, schools have earned more than $800 million used to purchase much-needed books, computers and playground equipment. Stop & Shop A+ School Rewards Program

Stop & Shop has a very user-friendly rewards program. Simply register your bonus card online anytime between September 11, 2017 and October 6, 2017. Participants can select up to two schools to support. The schools that you selected then receive money with your qualified purchases. The registration period is coming up soon, so get your bonus cards ready!

Give Back to Schools Office Depot/Office Max

When purchasing qualified school supplies you can present your school idea and the store will give back 5% as a credit for your school to purchase school supplies. This is a great opportunity for educators or program directors who are making large purchases. Check out the website for ways to spread the word with customizable flyers, cards and banners for your school website. Furthermore, if you forget to mention your school, simply submit a request and they will retroactively set aside the 5% for your school.

Amazon Smile

Amazon Smile is a great way to cash in on the shopping habits of your supporters. Amazon Smile is only available to nonprofits with 501 (c)3 status, which leaves many public schools ineligible but qualifying PTAs, PTOs and Boosters may participate. Simply link your favorite nonprofit to your Amazon account and start shopping on Amazon Smile. The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases.
